3D Furniture Rendering Services
Furniture rendering is the production of photoreal 3D images of furniture from CAD files or photos, and we make catalog, white-background, lifestyle and fabric-variant images for furniture brands, manufacturers and retailers. Every fabric and finish comes from one model, so you get catalog and marketplace images without a photo shoot, and the first draft arrives in 3 to 5 business days; furniture rendering is one of our 3D visualization services.

What is furniture visualization?
Furniture visualization is the use of 3D models of furniture to make catalog images, room scenes, configurators and AR views instead of photo shoots. The piece is modeled once, to its real dimensions, and its fabrics, woods and metals are built as materials that can be swapped. From that one model come the white-background images for the product page, the room scenes for the catalog and social media, and the files that let a shopper change the fabric on screen or place the piece in their own room.
Interactive fabric pickers on a product page run on the same model; our page on 3D product configurators explains how they work and what they need from the model.
02
What do you get with our furniture rendering service?
A furniture rendering order delivers an accurate model of each piece and a set of images of it: white-background angles, close-up details, room scenes and every fabric or finish variant you sell. Our furniture 3D rendering starts from your CAD or from photos with dimensions, and modeling the piece at the level the brief describes is part of the order; the quote is fixed once we have seen your files. Because every image comes from the same model, the sofa in the room scene is exactly the sofa on the white background.
| Image | Use |
|---|---|
| White-background (silo) image | Product pages, marketplaces, catalogs |
| Detail close-up | Stitching, joinery, hardware, weave |
| Lifestyle room scene | Hero images, catalogs, social media; see our lifestyle renders page for how scenes are styled |
| Fabric or finish variant | One image per fabric, leg finish or wood |
| Dimension image | The piece on white with its measurements added in your layout |
| 360 spin | An interactive turn on the product page |
| AR model (GLB and USDZ) | AR for furniture: a model a shopper places in their own room |
Why teams send us their drawings
Drawn by architects
Plans, sections and finish schedules are read the way they were drawn, so the first draft is close.
Priced before we start
A fixed quote within 12 hours of receiving your files. The quote you accept is the one you pay.
A clay draft first
Camera angles and massing are agreed on a plain model before materials go on, so the final has no surprises.

Furniture renders from our studio
The six furniture renders below show a sofa on white, a dining set in a room, a chair detail, a bed in a bedroom, an outdoor set and a fabric grid, each captioned with the piece and the image type. They are concept work showing the range of furniture images we produce.

Who orders furniture rendering?
Furniture manufacturers, direct-to-consumer brands, retailers with large catalogs and interior designers order furniture renders when photographing every variant would mean a finished sample and a new shoot for each one. Manufacturers render new collections before the first production run, so sales and marketing can start while the factory tools up. Retailers render the long tail of a catalog that never gets a photo shoot. Interior designers commission renders of custom pieces they have specified, so a client can approve a one-off sofa before it is built; our 3D interior design rendering services page covers how renders fit each design stage.
Products other than furniture, from lamps to electronics, are covered on our product rendering page.
What clients said about our interior designer's work
I sent over our floor plans and a few reference photos, and they took it from there. What stood out was how little back-and-forth we needed. They understood the brief and got most things right on the first attempt. The final images were exactly what our marketing team needed.
Robert Hayes Β· United States
We were struggling to agree on finishes for a client's kitchen renovation. Having the different options rendered made the decision so much easier. It saved us from making what could have been a very expensive mistake. Money well spent.
Emily Carter Β· United Kingdom
Honestly, the first draft wasn't quite what I had pictured. I sent through my comments, and the revised version was spot on. I appreciated that they actually listened rather than rushing through the changes. Happy with how everything turned out.

CGI furniture vs photography
CGI furniture becomes the better route once a piece comes in several fabrics or finishes, because each variant is a material swap on one model rather than a new sample and a new shoot. A photo shoot needs a finished, upholstered sample of every variant in the studio on the day; a render needs one model and a scan or swatch of each fabric. For a single piece in one fabric that already sits in your warehouse, photography is often the simpler choice.

| Factor | CGI | Photography |
|---|---|---|
| Physical sample | Not needed: CAD, or photos and dimensions | A finished sample of every variant |
| New fabric or finish | A material swap on the existing model | A new upholstered sample and a new shoot |
| Consistency across the catalog | Same light, camera and shadow on every piece | Depends on matching setups across shoot days |
| Room scenes | Any room, built to your brand | A styled set or a location hire |
| Before production | Possible from CAD | Not possible until a sample exists |
| AR and configurators | The same model is reused | A separate 3D model is still needed |
Where rendering pulls ahead. The table below follows one sofa as its fabric range grows, with three white-background angles per fabric. On the rendering side, each new fabric is a material swap on the same model; on the photography side, each one is another finished sample to make, ship and shoot.
| Fabrics | Images (3 angles each) | What rendering needs | Samples a photo shoot needs |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 3 | One model | 1 |
| 3 | 9 | One model and 3 fabric scans | 3 |
| 6 | 18 | One model and 6 fabric scans | 6 |
| 12 | 36 | One model and 12 fabric scans | 12 |

What does furniture rendering do for your brand?
Furniture rendering lets your brand show every piece in every fabric, in rooms built to your style, without making a sample or booking a shoot. Manufacturers can start selling a collection before the first production run; retailers can fill the long tail of a catalog with images that match the rest; designers can get a client's yes on a custom piece before it is built. Because every image comes from one model built to the piece's real dimensions, the catalog stays consistent and each new fabric is a quick material swap. Every image type and its rate is on our page on the cost of 3D rendering.
| Item | What it does for you |
|---|---|
| White-background image | Product pages and marketplace listings in one consistent light, with no shoot |
| Lifestyle room scene | Shows the piece in a room built to your brand, for hero images and catalogs |
| 360 spin | Lets shoppers turn the piece on the product page |
| AR-ready model, GLB and USDZ | Lets shoppers place the piece in their own room before buying |
| 3D model only | A model you can reuse in your own renderer or configurator |
A typical launch. A brand launches a lounge chair in four fabrics. It orders three white-background angles of the first fabric, one front angle of each of the other three, two lifestyle scenes and an AR model. The product page, the catalog spread and the view-in-your-room button all come from one model, so the chair looks the same everywhere a shopper meets it.

What do you need to send us?
Send CAD or photos with dimensions, fabric and finish swatches, and your image list.
- 01Send the CAD file (STEP, OBJ, FBX, 3DM, MAX or DWG), or photos of the piece from all sides with its overall dimensions.
- 02Add the fabrics as flat, evenly lit scans or high-resolution photos, with the supplier's name and color reference.
- 03Add finish references for wood, metal and stone: supplier codes, photos of samples or a color card.
- 04List the images you need and the marketplace or catalog specs they must meet.
- 05Describe the room style for lifestyle scenes, with two or three reference images.
If you need the model alone, for your own renderer or configurator, 3D product modeling is a separate service.
09
How do revisions work?
Revisions check proportions on a clay draft first, then fabric and finish accuracy on the colored draft, with two rounds included. Proportions are quick to fix on a gray model and slow to fix once the fabric is on, so we settle them first.
- 01Check proportions, seat height, cushion shape and leg detail on the clay draft.
- 02Check each fabric's color, weave scale and sheen on the colored draft against your swatch.
- 03Check wood grain direction, metal finish and stitching on close-ups.
- 04Approve the final images for full-resolution delivery.
Fabric accuracy depends on how the material is built: color, weave relief and sheen are separate maps, which our page on 3D materials explains.
10
What file formats do you deliver?
Images arrive in 4K as JPG and PNG, with a layered PSD on request, and the model is available as GLB and USDZ, so shoppers can place the piece in their own room.
| Format | Use | Default size |
|---|---|---|
| JPG on white | Product pages, marketplaces, catalogs | 4K |
| PNG with transparent background | Cutouts for your own layouts and banners | 4K |
| Layered PSD | Your own edits in Photoshop | 4K, on request |
| MP4 | 360 spins | 1080p or 4K |
| GLB and USDZ | AR on Android and iPhone, and web viewers | Optimized for mobile |
You get full commercial use of every image, with no time or place limit.
Questions
Can you render from a physical sample we ship?
We render from CAD, or from photos and dimensions of the piece, so there is usually no need to ship a sample. Photograph it from all sides with a tape measure in view and send fabric swatches as scans; ask us before shipping anything.
Can we reuse the model in our configurator?
Yes. You can order the model alone or with the images, and the GLB and USDZ files are made for web viewers and AR. Tell us the configurator you use so the materials are set up for it.
Can you match our fabric exactly?
We match color, weave scale and sheen to the swatch scans you send, and you check each fabric on the colored draft. For a close color match, scan the fabric beside a color card.
